IT'S SPOTLIGHT SATURDAY!
Being in the wedding industry, connections and word of mouth can sometimes make the difference between a bride booking with you or not! After meeting so many incredible vendors over the last year, I thought it would be super fun to start a new series - Spotlight Saturday. This series will be posted once a week, and will highlight one local small business, creative, or vendor each time! For the months of September and October, each Spotlight will be wedding themed! My hope is to bring networking opportunities and connections to other small creatives in the industry, aligning them with their ideal clients, and filling up their weekends with lots of authentic memories!
Q: Tell me your story! What made you want to start planning weddings?
A: I love people and their love stories! I didn’t really know how to be around that more often other than helping plan someone’s big day! After recently getting married myself, I know how crazy it all can be, and I wanted to make the planning process easier for other couples! I decided to take a leap a faith, went with it, and now I have a healthy obsession with all things wedding related.
Q: What services do you offer?
A: I offer anything and everything from “Kourtni, help me plan this thing all the way," to “Hey, can you just make sure my family doesn’t go crazy on the day of?!” Day of coordination, full planning, you name it- I'm here to take the stress off of you!
Q: What's your favorite part of planning someone's big day?
A: My favorite part of planning a wedding is just being able to see it all come together. Seeing the couple enjoying themselves alongside their family and friends is the most rewarding feeling! Finally getting to relax, have fun, and celebrate after months of planning is all worth it in the end.
Q: Do you cater towards a specific bride or couple?
A: I cater towards anyone and everyone! I believe that everyone should be able to have an amazing and special day no matter what race, gender or belief. All are welcome here!
Q: Do you have any advice for brides to be?
A: As a recent Mrs. myself, I know how stressful it can be to plan a wedding, especially during Covid! My advice for any brides who are on their way to being a newlywed is to enjoy every second of the planning process! Have fun picking out all of your vendors and details, and take it one step at a time. But remember to also plan to love each other even after the big day! Love conquers all!
